The islands provide for outstanding fishing, whether it be reef fishing or heading out a little further to get the heart pumping with sports and marlin fishing. And, if it’s snorkelling or surfing or island hopping is what you’re after, this destination ticks every box.

The stunning Abrolhos Islands lay approximately 40 nautical miles west of Geraldton, Western Australia. The word Abrolhos is thought to be derived from the Portuguese expression Abre os olhos, meaning “keep your eyes open”.

The reason being it’s made up of 122 islands broken into 3 main groups, this area is a haven for aquatic life and the ultimate playground to fulfil your fishing dreams.

Talking of spectacular catches, the Abrolhos boasts some of the best reef fishing action you are likely to encounter. Large coral formations and reef ledges are spread throughout the region and are host to some thumping bottom dwelling fish species. Dhufish, Baldchin Groper, Pink Snapper, Spangled Emperor, Coral Trout and Red Emperor are just some of the main species we encounter regularly.

With all styles of fishing, there is always that surprise catch that will etch in your memory, forever. Trying different techniques and strategies to get that prized catch can often lead to something spectacular. Why not try your luck at jigging with soft plastics or bring along some lighter gear?

Try a combination of bottom bouncing and jigging for all those deep dwellers and to get the adrenalin pumping, watch the action unfold as Yellowfin Tuna and Spanish Mackerel hit surface lures while trolling! Or for a change of pace you can drop a craypot or two.

This area is an Eco wonderland and is home to the Batavia wreck which struck a coral reef and sank in the Abrolhos Islands in June 1629. So, if the fishing seems hard work at the time, take a dip, have a snorkel or spearfish, explore the islands and its history or simply relax on board.

We will put you on the spots, the rest is up to you. 15 guests are our maximum; however, we find guests up to 12, works well.

Whether you have an exclusive boat booking, small group or on your own we will accomodate you on your fishing trip.

Opting for an exclusive boat trip means we won’t add other guests to your trip.

The Abrolhos trip commences when we depart port on Sunday morning and concludes on the following Thursday afternoon, back in port. For your convenience we provide FREE ACCOMMODATION on board the Saturday night and the Thursday night. (meals not included). Before you head home, your catch will be packed and sealed in a COMPLIMENTARY esky. You will also receive a COMPLIMENTARY thumb drive containing all your fishing holiday snaps.
